Fixstars and I-ne to Begin Joint Research on Next-Generation AI Agents

Revolutionizing the "Speed and Accuracy of Decision-Making" with Generative AI, Quantum Technology, and Top Experts

August 22, 2025
Press release

IRVINE, California – Aug 22, 2025 – Fixstars Corporation (TSE Prime: 3687, US Headquarters: Irvine, CA), a leading company in performance engineering technology, has entered into a joint research agreement with I-ne Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka, President and Representative Director: Yohei Onishi, TSE Prime: 4933; hereinafter, "I-ne") for the advanced application of AI in the marketing domain.

Ryosuke Okuda, a pioneer in AI startups, will participate as an advisor to this project. He is currently the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Fixstars Investment and has previously served as Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Preferred Networks, Inc. and as a Project Manager at SAKANA AI. The project aims to accelerate the construction of a unique, practical marketing DX model by fusing the knowledge cultivated on the front lines of generative AI and machine learning with a global-level R&D network.

Purpose and Background

The project will integrate a next-generation AI agent into I-ne's proprietary brand management system, "IPTOS". By leveraging advanced computational technologies, including generative AI and quantum annealing, to reconstruct the initial processes of research, conceptualization, and hypothesis verification, the quality and speed of decision-making will be dramatically improved.

Fixstars will provide its software acceleration technology, which has a proven track record in various industries, as well as its performance engineering expertise for optimizing algorithms for computing resources, and knowledge of quantum annealing. The project also plans to utilize "Fixstars AIStation”[1], a workstation equipped with local LLMs and high-performance GPUs to execute AI training and inference in an on-premise environment. Mr. Okuda will be responsible for providing technical strategic advice based on global AI research trends.
The goal is to "accelerate thinking" with a model that goes beyond simple AI implementation.

Future Outlook

The AI agent to be developed will be introduced into internal operations in stages. It will comprehensively support processes from marketing strategy planning to the initial stages of product development, aiming to achieve "decision-making support that surpasses the speed of human thought".
In the future, the project will conduct parallel proof-of-concept and verification with the goal of practical application of a marketing decision-making model that utilizes quantum annealing.

Representative Comments

Yohei Onishi, President and Representative Director of I-ne Co., Ltd.:
"By integrating a next-generation AI agent into our proprietary 'IPTOS,' we will achieve sustainable growth through high-quality and high-speed decision-making. This joint research, which brings together world-leading knowledge and technology to incorporate AI as a 'partner to think with' in marketing, is a major step toward making that future a reality."

Satoru Miki, President and Representative Director of Fixstars Corporation:
"Fixstars' performance engineering technology, which we have cultivated over many years, accelerates and improves the efficiency of AI training and inference processes. I am confident that it will be a powerful driving force in the development and implementation of a next-generation AI agent. I believe that by fusing our advanced computational technology with I-ne's advanced marketing platform, we can achieve a decision-making process with unprecedented speed and accuracy."
