The New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) will newly establish and provide a quantum computer development environment free of charge to participants who pass the screening process of the "NEDO Challenge, Quantum Computing 'Solve Social Issues!'" (hereinafter, "the Program"), a prize challenge program for quantum computing technologies promoted by NEDO.
This development environment was jointly constructed by NEDO, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), RIKEN, Intelligent Wave Inc., Quantinuum, IBM, Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation, and Fixstars Amplify Corporation, with the aim of accelerating research and development in quantum technology.
Fixstars Amplify Corporation will provide its high-performance annealing machine, "Fixstars Amplify AE," and the software development kit (SDK), "Fixstars Amplify SDK," for this Program. The SDK is designed to allow users to intuitively describe and execute problems using Python without needing to be conscious of the differences among various types of quantum computers and Ising machines, thereby supporting simple and efficient application development.
