Real-Time Processing of Enormous Amount of FFT Operation

The powerful operation ability of Cell Broadband Engine™ (Cell/B.E.) built into PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3®) allows realtime FFT processing with multi channels, high bit rate, and internal arithmetic accuracy of 32-bit float.
For example, in case of operation with the FFT length of 256k and sampling rate of 96 kHz (input 4 channels), the longest measurable impulse response length is 1.3 seconds.

No Need For PS3 Operation

The RT-IR01 uses the PS3 as an external DSP box.
PS3 is controlled by PC application, the device is enabled simply after turning on the PS3. You don't have to prepare a monitor, mouse, or keyboard for PS3.

Stress-Free User Interface

All operations and data checks are done from the GUIbased PC application. You can check the measured impulse response, frequency amplitude characteristics, and frequency phase characteristics in real time on the PC screen and conduct most operations with only a mouse for it.

Easy Setup

PS3 and PC can be connected simply with an Ethernet cable (cross cable). You can construct a system easily while reviewing the setup manual.

Useful Measured Data Saving

The measured result is saved as CSV-format text files (comma-delimited) with high general versatility. These files can be directly loaded and used with a general spreadsheet application.
