Akihiro Asahara

Chief Executive Officer

As Fixstars Solutions' Chief Executive Officer, Akihiro is responsible for overseeing the planning, strategy, and execution of the company's sales and revenue growth in North America. Since joining Fixstars in 2008, he has put tremendous effort into promoting multi-core processors through his research and lecture activities. Prior to joining Fixstars, Akihiro worked at IBM where he was involved in developing Cell/B.E. based products for medical imaging devices and, as a project manager, the special purpose blade server for a CCD inspection machine. He holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Kyoto University. Akihiro also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Waseda University, where he graduated with first-class honors.

Owen Stampflee

Linux Product Manager / Fixstars Solutions Canada CEO

Owen is responsible for Yellow Dog Linux and is the product manager of all Fixstars' Linux-based products. Before joining Fixstars, he was the Director of Engineering and an executive board member at Terra Soft Solutions, Inc. Owen gained his extensive Linux knowledge from his contribution to numerous open source communities for over ten years.

Satoshi Miki

Chief Executive Officer / Founder

As Fixstars' Chief Executive Officer, Satoshi is responsible for all of Fixstars' operations, as well as developing and leading the company's service offerings and technology strategy. He founded Fixstars in 2002. Prior to Fixstars, Satoshi founded and held the position of Executive Vice-President at SoftWorld in Japan and directed numerous software development projects, including online financial trading systems. Satoshi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Waseda University and has conducted research on Cell/B.E. software at Tsukuba University.

Yosuke Tamura

Chief Operating Officer

As Fixstars' Chief Operating Officer, Yosuke is responsible for Software development service business which includes processional services for all industries. Prior to Fixstars, Yosuke was a researcher of computer network, especially sensor networks at Sony Computer Science Laboratory from 2002 after serving as a fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Media and Governance from Keio University.

Toshiyuki Hachisuka

Senior Vice President, Hardware sales

Toshiyuki is responsible for overseeing the planning, strategy, and execution of the company's hardware sales and revenue growth. Prior to joining Fixstars, Toshi was Senior Director of ADS information management at ALTECH Co., Ltd. Toshiyuki holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Chuo University.

Minako Hori

Senior Vice President, General Counsel

As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Minako is responsible for overseeing accounting and human resources section of Fixstars Corporation. Prior to Fixstars, Minako was Chief administration officer at AGASTA CO., LTD. Minako graduated from Keio University with a degree in economics.

Keishi Chikamura

Senior Vice President, Storage products

As a Senior Vice President, Keishi is responsible for storage products development and its sales. Prior to Fixstars, Keishi was a researcher of System LSI at Panasonic corporation. Keishi holds a master's degree in informatics from Kyoto University.

Michael A. Cusumano

Outside Director

Michael A. Cusumano is the Sloan Management Review Distinguished Professor of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management, with a joint appointment in the MIT Engineering Systems Division. He specializes in strategy, product development, and entrepreneurship in the computer software, automotive and consumer electronics industries. He teaches courses on The Business of Software and Digital Platforms, Strategic Management, and Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is the founder and head of the MIT Sloan School's M.S. in Management Studies Program and previously served as editor-in-chief and chairman of the MIT Sloan Management Review.
