History

Aug. 2002 Founded Fixstars in Yokohama with 5 million yen capital with the aim of providing software technology to the world.
Aug. 2003 Increased capital to 28 million yen, became incorporated as Fixstars Corporation. Moved HQ to Shibuya, Tokyo.
Jul. 2004 Established Multi-core Technology Development Dept. due to the promising Cell processor. Started Cell/B.E. programming.
May 2005 Moved within Tokyo to Ebisu.
Sep. 2005 Yosuke Tamura,member of Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Inc, becomes CTO of Fixstars Corp.
Increased capital to 30 million.
Jan. 2006 Shuichi Oikawa,Department of Computer Science, University of Tsukuba,joins Fixstars as the company's Technical Adviser.
Oct. 2006 Moved HQ within Tokyo to Shinagawa.
Shinichi Okamoto joins Fixstars as the external Director.
Dec. 2006 Increased capital to 141.5 million yen.
Aug. 2007 Increased capital to 171.45 million yen.
May 2008 Increased capital to 196.8 million yen.
Aug. 2008 Opened Cell/B.E. Development Center in Shinagawa.
Oct. 2008 Established subsidiary 'Fixstars Solutions Inc.' of San Jose, California.
Nov. 2008 Acquired all the assets of Terra Soft Solutions, the world renowned developer of Yellow Dog Linux.
Dec. 2008 Increased capital to 210.55 million yen.
Mar. 2010 Moved HQ to Ohsaki.
