Input
- "? Unsupported" appears and encoding cannot start when an input file has been specified.
-
Major Causes and Solutions
-
- Unsupported video format
Please input supported video formats. -
- Required codec is not installed.
To read the QuickTime formats, the latest QuickTime Player is required. Supports only codecs that can be installed with QuickTime installer. Third party plug-in is not supported. -
- No files to be specified
If stream type is 3D, make sure both L and R files are specified. - Display input resolution and frame rate is not same as actual when the input file has been specified.
-
Major Causes and Solutions
-
- Unsupported video format
Please input supported video formats. -
- The input file has been recognized as Interlaced
Sometimes a progressive source file might be recognized as interlace (23.98p > 59.94i). In this case, manually select the correct frame rate from ParameterSetting > Video > Picture > Frame rate. - Is it possible to import AVCHD files?
- AVCHD Video can be read. If contained audio is Dolby AC-3 (Dolby Digital), auido cannot be read.
- Source files cannot be added by drag and drop.
- Project folder is not selected. Please confirm a project folder in the left of the screen is selected. If a project folder is selected correctly, please try following procedure. 1. Select Job tab, and select a project folder in the left of the screen.
2. Right click on the Job list in the right of the screen, and select "New".
3. Right click "New Job", and select desired template from "Apply Template".
4. Double click "New Job" to open Parameter Settings window.
5. At Input > Main Input, select format of the source file and select frame rate. (If the source is movie file, frame rate will be detected automatically.)
6. Input the folder path in Main Input (If 3D, input in Sub Input too.), and click OK.
Output
- While reading MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, a screen sought in the preview screen does not immediately appear.
- Since MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 movie files handle interframe reference, the decoding process of multiple frames is required to display a specified frame. Because this process is executed by the CPU of your PC, the response speed in seeking a specified frame depends on the performance of the CPU.
- Is it possible to export a file in the MP4/FLV format?
- No. That feature is is not supported.
- Is it possible to output the audio as a separate file?
- Yes. If input file contains audio and output is Video ES for Blu-ray, you can set Linear PCM as Sub output.
Encoded audio file cannot be output separately. - Is AVC-Intra format output supported?
- No. The "All Intra" check on the parameter settings window is a function just for encoding all the frames as I frame and not for AVC-Intra compliant encoding.
- Is non Blu-ray standard H.264 MVC encoding available?
-
Yes. To encode in non Blu-ray standard H.264 MVC, select Custom H.264 MVC on the Template, then add source files on the Job. To change parameters, double click the Job.
This optional template is mainly for video equipment developers and researchers. Playback compatibility of output data encoded with non-Blu-ray standard parameters on each device will not be supported.
Encoding
- "!" was displayed when the encoding finished.
-
Major Causes and Solutions
-
- Audio is not supported
Beacuse input file format or sampling rate is not supported by Accelcoder X, audio was not output. Accelcoder X supports 32, 44.1, 48KHz audio sampling rate. In addition, Dolby AC-3 format is not supported. -
- Audio is not compliant with the Blu-ray standard
Because the audio sampling rate is not compliant with the Blu-ray standard, audio was not output. Available sampling rate for Blu-ray on Accelcoder X is only 48KHz. -
- Error stream was generated
Error streams might be generated by a buffer underflow.Streams which contains the error streams may not be played on some BD players.A buffer underflow may be generated if complex scene came out suddenly after quiet scenes.
To address a buffer underflow, please try the following methods.
- Lower avarage video bitrate with no change in Max bitrate.
- Raise minimum QP value.
- If 3D encoding, raise dependent ratio.
- "X Error Occured" was displayed and the encoding stopped.
-
Major Causes and Solutions
-
- Nonstandard parameters
If Blu-ray template is selected, Encoding might have stopped by non standard parameter settings. Please open the Parameter settings window and confirm settings. -
- Non standard source file
If Blu-ray template is selected, encoding might have stopped by non standard resolution or frame rate. Please refer to Basic knowledge of Blu-ray encoding for Blu-ray standard. -
- No specified files
One of the specified source files has been moved or deleted, replace it and restart the job. If source files are imported over the network, please confirm network connection. -
- A part of sequential file is corrupted.
If input is sequential files, encoding may stop by the corruption of the part of files. Please make sure the each file can be displayed correctly on other image viewers.
