Express Authoring

Burn Directly to a Blu-ray Disc

3d_blu-ray

Accelcoder X adds the Express Authoring function enabling the 2D or 3D output data to be written directly to a Blu-ray disc without authoring software.
3D Express Authoring is only available with the 3D version.

For studios that use BD during the intermediate stages of the post-production process (previews, promotional materials), the current work-flow requires both encoding and authoring Blu-ray Discs, requiring technical resources and time. Accelcoder X cuts out the middleman, and burns directly to a BD without the need for third party software.

The Express Authoring function encodes the input movie, and converts to a data format that can be written to a Blu-ray disc. Features such as movie editing, adding a title or menu are not included, and BD-J is not supported.

Work-flow

Typical Process for creating a 3D Blu-ray:
A typical procedure for creating a 3D Blu-ray disc requires the following steps: First, the asset files for left and right eyes are encoded. The results are then written out to two separate files, one for each eye, and then these files are opened with a Blu-ray authoring program, where an ISO image is created. That ISO is then written to BD using a third piece of software.
